Like a dome? Should be good enough to keep the common ones out unless you're dealing with like. 6-foot tall giant phoenix-shaped bird monsters.

What would a six foot bird be distracted by anyway? I know seagulls like french fries, but I'm guessing that sort of bird won't be as easily satiated.
